camp Ñ
a FUN way to learn Spanish!
camp activities
For summer 2012, we have planned many activities that will enhance
our  program.  Through our "total immersion" philosophy, the
campers will have the opportunity to listen, speak, read and write
Spanish through a variety of fun activities.  For non-Spanish
speakers, we do provide help through pictures, gestures and games.
Our goal is to motivate campers to learn Spanish.  We want them to
leave camp Ñ with a better understanding of the Spanish language
and a desire to continue learning it.

All of the outdoor activities at camp Ñ take place on the beautiful
campus of the University of Miami.  Our activities include:
outdoor games, field day, music, puppet shows, storytelling, dancing,
authentic Spanish games & songs,  dress-up day, arts & crafts,
culture, geography, picnics and much more!!
Recreational Swimming:
Weather permitting, every Thursday we will go to the UM pool at
our camp staff.  Interested campers must wear a swimsuit under
their clothes and bring a towel, change of clothes and sunscreen in a
bag.
Please label all of your belongings.
Four year old campers will stay at the camp site for a splash day.
Alternate activities will take place for non-participants.
Camp Shows:
At the end of every session, we will be performing a show. The
children love to perform and they work very hard to do their best.
The show consists of songs, dances, plays and/or poems they have
learned during their two week session.  Parents are to park in
designated UM areas.  Do not park in the BSU parking lot.  We hope
to see you there!
